Support
We’re here to help.
FieldTripHQ is a trip-management tool operated by SKATTIC LLC that helps schools, teachers, and trip organizers run field trips: rosters, travel, lodging, schedules, and a live updates feed for families to follow along.

Frequently asked questions
- Getting started. Create a free account, then use “Create your first trip.” The setup guide walks you through the basics, how people register, and which modules you want. You can skip any step and change everything later.
- Adding people. Add everyone yourself (type them in or paste a list), or open sign-ups so families register themselves and land on your roster. You can do both.
- How pricing works. Two ways: if families pay by card through us, the app is free and we add a small fee per registration; if you collect your own way (cash, check, tuition, your own link), you pay a flat license to publish, scaled by size. You are never charged twice. Full details on the Pricing page.
- Payment options. No fee, collect your own way and mark people paid, send families to your own payment link, or (coming soon) let families pay by card right in the sign-up. All payments are handled on the web, never inside the app.
- Capacity & waitlist. Set a maximum and extra sign-ups join a waitlist in order. Set a minimum so a trip that does not fill can be handled before the deadline.
- Following a trip. Participants and families join with a trip code or invite link and see a limited, need-to-know view. Following a trip is free; no account needed.
- Account or data help. To update your account, export a trip, or delete your account and its data, email us and we will help.
Best practices for a smooth trip
- Set your dates and a kickoff first so the countdown and schedule have an anchor.
- Open sign-ups early with a clear deadline. If seats are limited, set a maximum so the waitlist manages the overflow for you.
- Import your roster from a spreadsheet instead of typing it, then fill in travel and rooming.
- Keep families in the loop with the Live Updates feed during the trip. A quick photo and note goes a long way.
- Use chaperone groups and roll call for headcounts at every stop, and keep health and emergency info on the roster where authorized staff can reach it fast.
